Rally: A private group planning app that turns scattered ideas into shared decisions for trips, outings, and everyday plans.
We have all experienced the endless group chat debate: “Where should we go?”, “What do you want to do?”, and “I’m fine with anything.” Rally turns that uncertainty into a simple, visual decision-making experience.
Create a room, add ideas, invite your group, and let everyone vote privately. Rally keeps opinions honest by hiding individual votes until the group is ready. It can help people choose restaurants, weekend trips, movies, activities, or any shared plan.
The redesigned experience makes the purpose instantly clear through travel imagery, friendly animations, warm colors, and simple steps. Users can see how their group moves from ideas to a final shared choice.
Rally is designed for less debating and more doing. Instead of losing time in messages, groups can quickly choose a plan everyone feels good about and get on with the experience.

Build Rally, a polished, mobile-first group decision-making web app for planning trips, outings, restaurants, movies, and everyday activities.
The core idea is simple: users create a room, add possible plans, invite friends, and let everyone vote privately. Rally should make group decisions feel visual, friendly, and fast instead of resembling a generic dashboard or productivity tool.
Redesign the landing page around the message: “Make plans. Go places.” The first screen must immediately communicate that Rally helps groups decide what to do together. Use a premium consumer-product aesthetic with warm ivory backgrounds, charcoal typography, vivid coral accents, soft lilac details, rounded cards, generous whitespace, and subtle shadows. Avoid blue, corporate styling, and excessive decoration.
Use a real travel hero image showing friends enjoying a trip together. Add small floating interface cards around the image, such as “Your crew is deciding” and “Everyone’s in.” Animate these cards gently with CSS, but respect prefers-reduced-motion. The hero should include clear calls to action: “Plan a trip” and “Join with code.”
Below the hero, explain the product in three visual steps: collect ideas, vote privately, and rally around one decision. Use simple icons, concise copy, and clear hierarchy.
The room experience should include a room title, participant presence, room code, shortlist cards, suggestion input, private voting with Yes, Maybe, and No actions, progress indicators, and a results view. Use empty states rather than fake demo data. Persist user-entered names, room titles, draft suggestions, and votes in the browser with localStorage because no backend integration is enabled.
Use React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, accessible semantic markup, responsive layouts, functional buttons, loading and empty states, and polished transitions. The product name and logo should consistently use Rally throughout the interface and metadata.
